Coffee Subscription FAQ

Kappu.io coffee subscription service is designed to provide you with a convenient way to receive fresh, high-quality coffee on a regular basis. You can choose from a variety of subscription options and receive your coffee once a month.

For monthly coffee subscription, we will deliver 3 bags (150g x 3 bags =~30 cups*) / 6 bags (150g x 6 bags) = ~60cups)  of coffee each month based on your selection. It is based on what option you have selected and recommendation by our Kappu’s Q-Graders Team. You could enjoy fresh and sustainable coffees every single day.

To make it simple, we have 4 type of coffee subscription from all our Japanese roasters. You can set your subscription to 1 monthly, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months. 

The coffee subscription will be shipped by 1st  week of every month by JP Post / DHL (our exclusive delivery partner). You are likely to get the coffee in 4-10 business days.

We offer a wide range of coffee options, including single-origin coffees, blends, and flavored coffees. Our coffee selection changes regularly, so you can try new and exciting flavors each month.

The specialty coffee we picked for you is based on your preliminary option what coffee favors you love. Of course you could change it afterward, please feel free to contact us by chat / email.

The uniqueness of our coffee subscription box is combining the mix of 3 different coffee bean & 3 Japanese coffee roasters every single months.

Kappu’s Q-Graders team keeps working with our japan roasters partnership every day to decide which type of coffee will be included in this month coffee box. The selection criteria is based on the freshness, favors and quality of the coffee.

We guarantee our subscribers could get surprise from the coffee every month. You could enjoy high-quality coffees from our high-quality Japanese roasters’s coffee every single months.

Kappu.io Q-Grader team is a group of trained and certified coffee professionals who have passed the Q Grader Exam. The Q Grader Exam is a rigorous and comprehensive test that evaluates an individual’s sensory skills and ability to grade and evaluate coffee. Q Graders are trained to identify different coffee flavors, aromas, and defects, and they use this knowledge to evaluate the quality of coffee beans.

When a coffee subscription is offered by a Q-Grader Team, it means that the coffee has been carefully selected and evaluated by a group of certified Q Graders. This ensures that the coffee you receive is of the highest quality and has been carefully chosen by experts in the field.

All monthly subscriptions will be shipped during the first week of the month. If you order this month, the order will be shipped in the following month.

Every month an automated payment will be made towards the subscription.

At the 1st week of every month, we will pack and prepare shipment for the coffee bean. We try our best to ship packages out within 5-7 business days from the roasting date via JP Post / DHL.

You will receive a shipping e-mail. Expect your coffee to arrive at your doorstep after 4-10 business days .

Of course – we offer you complete control over your coffee subscription frequency. Order as much and as often as you like. You can skip & pause at any time under subscription of your personal account. No small print or hidden T&C’s.

You would have to reach out to us to change your information, except for credit card information. The system is on its way to be set up for customers to be able to change their own information. Please e-mail us with your new information. 

Our shipping policy is that any additional custom duties which may occur in the respective country will be your responsibility.

As long as your country does not restrict roasted coffee beans, the total value for our subscription should not hit past additional charges for most countries. If packages are rejected due to refusal to pay custom costs, we will not refund shipping.

All coffee will be mainly mainly filter coffee in mind, as that’s the main way we roast speciality coffee and brew it in Japan. Of course, For Kappu’s coffee, we do test out all of our coffee through our espresso machine which is delicious as well, so that everyone is able to enjoy. 

Once customers make a purchase, they will not be able to refund the paid amount. Of course – we offer you complete control over your coffee subscription frequency. Order as much and as often as you like. You can skip / pause / cancel at any time under future subscription of your personal account. No small print or hidden T&C’s.

Yes, you can gift a subscription to someone else by selecting the gift option at checkout and providing their shipping information.

The Beginner Coffee Box Questions

Every month Kappu will select 3 type of speciality coffee from selected japan roasters as “Beginner Coffee Box”. The purpose of this is to offer international coffee beginner to try speciality coffee in japan. 

Our roasters will roast the coffee according to their individual roasting schedules after you place your order but mostly it will be shipped within 5-10 business days.

“The beginner coffee box” will be shipped via DHL within 24 hours after all coffee bean has been roasted (normal within 5-10 days). After packed and shipped, your coffee will be delivered to your home in 2-5 business days.

The shipping cost of this month exclusive box is free for international order.
